WELCOME TO THE (NEW) HOME OF TOBY THE TANGERINE.

Now I know what you are thinking, isn't it a bit strange for an old citrus fruit like myself to have his own site?

Well I guess it is a bit unusual, but stranger things have happened, I mean who would have predicted that an apple could create a world beating computer corporation, that a mere blackbery would become a multi functional mobile communications device and that an orange would go on to create it's own mobile phone network and get to sponsor it's own day - wednesday!

I mean, I've seen an elephant fly, a rubber band and a walnut whip, but a dried up tangerine with a personal website?

But the truth is that I am merely bowing to public pressure. So many people, fans I suppose you would call them, have been clamouring for information, where is Toby, how is Toby, is he still around ?

So I thought the only way to satisfy this tidal wave of mystery and longing for the truth, was to write my own site and let everyone know that I am still going strong and that I haven't gone to the ultimate composting bin in the sky, just yet, even though some cruel people think that I should have.

I know that at this point some of you readers will be thinking, what the hell is this, a tangerine that can think, write, type, this is nuts.

But no it's not, nuts are something else completely, more crunchy, often salted or dry roasted.

This is real, it's not a pith take and throughout these pages I intend to let you know all about my strange life , my likes and dislikes, stuff that even my closest friends and colleagues could have only wondered about in the past. Not so much a blog, more of a blag.

So please read on, but remember, try not to be too fruitist, put your past attitudes and beliefs about fruit to one side, we are not all illiterate vegetables, well actually we are not we are not vegetables at all - we're fruit that's sort of the point, but anyway we too have feelings and aspirations.

If you prick us do we not bleed (juice)? If you poison us do we not die? and if you wrong us, shall we not revenge? alright Shylock calm down, calm down!!

Fruit have rights.

Always try to remember that "Education is only a ladder to gather fruit from the tree of knowledge, not the fruit itself" or as Voltaire said "Truth is a fruit which should not be plucked until it is ripe." It makes you think.......... doesn't it?
