COLOUR THERAPY, DISCUSS.

I am very interested in colour, my surname is a colour and I am implicitly linked to the colour orange.

Orange is everywhere in my life, it informs and shapes my very being, it is my existential stake in the ground.

But what do we actually know about colour, how does it effect us, can it be used to benefit us? The practice of Colour Therapy claims to have some of these answers.

Colour therapy it is claimed dates back thousands of years, having been used by ancient cultures such as Egypt, China and India.

There are seven spectrum colours of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet used within colour therapy and these are said to relate to seven unique zones of the body, known as chakras.

These colour spectrums and corresponding chakras are shown in the image below.

Health and well being are dependant on the balance of energies in each of these chakras, colour therapy can be used to rebalance or stimulate these energy fields.

So what about Orange?

As you can see from the diagram above, orange relates to the sacral chakra, this region is home to many vital organs and at a spiritual level it is linked to self respect.

Orange is also known as the colour of creativity and can be used to stimulate and energise. Orange should not be used to decorate areas of potential stress such as offices or working areas.

Therefore, due to the large amounts of the colour orange on this website, after a visit here you should become more energised and stimulated and leave in a creative frame of mind.

Concentrate on this orange ribbon below to become stimulated and increase your energy.

The randomly selected colours, scientifically selected colours above, should have been of great benefit to you.

You know some people pay good money for this sort of information, but you can come here and become informed free of charge, how philanthropic of you Toby.
